The World Mahjong Championship held from 27th to 29th of August with the participation of 208 players from 20 countries concluded successfully yesterday (29th August 2010). In the individual Championship Linghua Jiao (China) took the first place with, Olivier Boivin (France) and Elisabeth Frischenschlager (Austria) on the 2nd and 3rd place respectively. The best countries (The best 3 scores of a country with at least 4 players) were China, France and Denmark on 1st, 2nd and 3rd place respectively.

Congratulations to mars2 who won the final WMC Seat tournament and has qualified for a seat on the World Mahjong Championship 2010 in Utrecht, Holland. She won the 3 rounds tournament with an amazing 12 points. Worth mentioning is that she was also selected as Mays Player of the Month based on her enthusiasm and her efforts to help us maintain a friendly and pleasant atmosphere.

Win a Seat on World Mahjong Championship 2010
Dragonkong will be offering a seat in the World Mahjong Championship 2010, held in the Utrecht, Netherlands this August.
You can win the seat by participating in a tournament on June 27th held on DragonKong.com. Cost for this tournament will be 11 USD. However you can win a seat on this tournament by participating on one of the free tournaments on 13th and 19th of June. 8 top players from each of the tournaments will qualify for free seats to the final. We will be running a lot of MCR freerolls during the coming weeks. Make sure you get a lot of practice.
